Here are your weekly stats for activity in Lakeland!
Homes currently for sale in Lakeland:
901–Last week we had 872 homes for sale. Inventory has RISEN a little bit lately. We will see if it stays with that trend or if demand will bring that down. 136 of those homes have their own private pool or 15% of active homes for sale.
***78 of the 901 Active homes are new construction. That makes up 9% of the inventory. The new home construction in Lakeland is not nearly as high as in the rest of the county and is stable in that range. 147 homes were built in 2020 or newer which is 16%. Polk County’s new construction is in high demand and 1,436 of the 5,567 active homes(26%) are new builds and 2,127(38%) were built in 2020 are newer.
***Inventory in Polk County is as high as it has been over the past 10 years. July of 2014 there were 4,293 homes for sale versus July 2024 of 5,567. That is a 1,274 higher difference.
